Frequently asked questions

Do I need any artistic skills to be able to paint?
Not at all! Our instructor will teach you and your guests step by step. Some paintings are pre-sketched for your convenience. This is all about fun!

How much does it cost to host a party?
Every party is $25 a person with a minimum of four people in attendance. Each person will paint a 16x20" canvas. Kids 7 and up is $10 a person for 10 or more guests for a 9x12" canvas.

What is the length of the party?
The actual paint party can last anywhere between 2-3 hours depending on how much fun you are having. Our staff needs at least 25-40 minutes to set up and clean up. Guests should arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes prior to the painting start time. PLEASE NOTE: All parties will start no later than 15 minutes after the agreed start time. No Exceptions!

What is the booking/cancellation policy?
A $50 deposit should be made in order to hold the date. We prefer that you book at least one week in advance. If you are unsure of the number of guest but know that it will be more than 4 persons, at least $50 deposit shall be made. 48-hour notice bookings may be made on rare occasions if the instructor and date is available. Full payment must be made 48 hours in advance prior to the party in the form of cash, credit card or PayPal. If you cancel 7 days before the date of the party a full refund will be issued. If at least a 48 hours' notice of cancellation is given a credit will be issued to a future party. If less than a 48-hour notice is given a refund and credit will not be given.


What is the minimum number of people I need to hold a private party?
We require at least 4 people per party. (Parties of 2 will require an additional $25 per person)

Can I request a customize painting to go with theme of my party?
Yes, and it is FREE! Our staff will need at least two weeks advance notice to fulfill your request.

Can each person choose their own paintings?
No. Because this is a step-by-step instructional painting. You can choose up to two pictures for your group. We will need to know in advance how many of each painting to bring. Remember each person will paint one painting.


Do I need to do anything for the party?
Provide the space as well as tables and chairs for your guest. We will provide everything else as it relates to paintings. 


How far do you travel?
20 miles from the 48219-zip code. We are willing to travel farther with a minimal of 25 persons and an additional $.57 cents per mile travel fee.

Is there a minimum age requirement?
15 and up for adult parties. We prefer that the children’s parties start at age 7. We understand that some children who are younger can be creative, and that decision can be made at the request of the parent.

What kind of paint will we paint with?
Acrylic paint will be used at each event and will dry in time for each person to transport their painting at the end of the party.

How can you protect my home from paint spills?
We paint in one area, and you can prepare the floor with a paint drop cloth to protect your floors from accidental paint spills.

What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that you can paint in. We will provide aprons but sometimes accidents do happen so please wear something that can take a drop or two of paint. We are not responsible for paint on you or your items.


What about food and music?
The host is responsible for providing food and drinks for their guest if they want. Our Hour can provide a speaker for you to play your music on.

Fundraising?
We offer fundraising opportunities. You may set the price as you like above our $25pp fee. If you have a group of more than 25 people, we will drop our price at $20 giving you the opportunity to raise more money.
